HISTORY
Omtrix Inc., founded in 1995, is a fund managing company and also a provider of consulting services for financial inclusion. industry Omtrix specializes in the promotion and management of innovative undertakings that support inclusive financial systems and solutions that contribute to the elimination of social inequalities by means of financial and technical assistance to the financial inclusion industry. Our main four working areas are:
- Development and management of investment funds and technical assistance programs
- Financial Consulting
- Corporate Governance
- Research and dissemination of solutions to key problems in the industry through the NGO Calmeadow.
By virtue of our location in San Jose, Costa Rica, Omtrix has direct contact with clients and investors in Latin America and the Caribbean, which in turn, allows the Organization to be much updated about developments in this Region's economic and social environment. In addition, Omtrix keeps a nimble operating structure that is complemented by an extensive network of expert consultants allowing us to quickly adapt to the ever-changing needs of the financial inclusion industry. Our team has extensive professional experience and is dedicated to the improvement and consolidation of the internal capabilities of microfinance institutions and to achieving positive returns for investors, be they financial or social.

Additionally, Omtrix performed a key role in the establishment and supervision of AfriCap Fund and MFX Solutions, and has worked for several members of the economic development community, such as: Inter-American Development Bank, Development Alternatives, Inc., for Department International Development (DFID) of the United Kingdom, Triodos Bank, State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) of Switzerland, the FMO, the Development Bank of the Caribbean (DBC), DOEN Foundation, ACTION International, KfW, Norfund, SIFEM/Obviam, the Luxemburg Microfinance and Development Fund and ADA of Luxembourg, among others. Omtrix presently manages several investment funds, a nongovernmental organization (NGO) and three technical facilities; all of them sharing the goal of consolidating the microfinance sector in general and the microfinancial institutions (MFIs) throughout the Region.
